1st camping trip of the season…

I love camping…

I love weekends/Sundays off in the summer…

I love my husband…

I love our four wheeler…

I love that my husband spends WWAAAYYYY too much money on guns…

I love s’mores over the campfire… and roasting weenies…

I love warm weather…

I love the eye sores all the windmills are bringing to the place we take our cows…

I love smelling like camp fire…

I love sleeping in the back of my hubbys truck, all snuggled up to that man, under the wide open sky that is covered with stars…

And I especially love coming home and taking a shower when all the fun is over!

Practicing our shooting skills… of course Dave is good, but I’m pretty good myself. Everyone let our a big wowza when I hit a can on my first shot.

Here’s to many more camping weekends to come…

On a side note: Roz & B left PA @ 7:00 this morning and are Idaho bound. YIPPPEEE!!!

Baseball/day off…

Elise had a baseball game last night and it was so fun watching her and the other 6/7 year olds on machine pitch, some of these kids have mad skill.

mae

now for the day off part… I did something special on the 1st day of summer, it was so nice outside I washed my car inside and out, had lunch with the hubby, visited with my mom, went on a walk around Ucon, got ALL my laundry done for the week, the entire house clean, and then I did it… I shaved my legs AND painted my toes! Seriously, those last 2 are an accomplishment if you know me at all you know I rarely do either of those things let alone at the same time. And if you don’t know me… I think its probably been since our wedding I’ve done those chores the same day, or week for that matter.

Here’s to a fabulous summer!

-Roz and B will be home in less than 2 weeks!!! The count down is on, and that means a VK for me!!! YAY!

Opening Day…

There are very few things I love more than Opening Day. I love baseball! What do I love about baseball you ask?

-being outside

-spending it with my favorite people

-lots of pretty scenery (really how do they make the grass look like that?) and smells

-eating sunflower seeds (without worrying about getting the shells everywhere but the cup)

-lots of people to stare at… and judge (ha, sad but true)

-something about the game itself I just love.

And my favorite thing about baseball is…

011

Nachos and Beer! I am not a huge beer fan… it’s true. But there is something about eating nacho’s, sippin on a cold beverage, watching the game, in the fresh and open air, with my hubby in his sexy glasses that gets me every time! (sorry Grandma if it makes you feel any better by “a cold beverage” I mean only 1 Smile)

015

and I love empire butts… but that’s beside the point.

Hopefully the Chukars will do better the rest of the season, we lost last night 20-0. OUCH!

And we had some nasty white trash girls (did I just say that?) behind us that were seriously stinky and letting their baby cry instead of picking her up and figuring out what she needed obviously it was something she couldn’t have been 3 months old! Also, a guy in front of us who David said “needs a muzzle”

Overall we had a great time, and I can’t wait for the next 37 home games!

Brandin’ cows…

006

I am not a cowgirl… I am a country girl Smile We FINALLY (about 2 months late) got all our cows/calves branded, tagged etc… just in time to take them to the mountains a few short days later. They will remain there the rest of the summer or at least until snow starts to fly again. But not to worry mo mo’s we will be up to check on you (and the bleepin fence that doesn’t like to stay up) on the weekends. Mostly to enjoy the outdoors, meaning S’mores, camping, 4-wheeling, shooting.

004 This cute girl and I did lots of watching… and peach ring eating, while her Daddy helped with the cows!

Gram…

I love Gram (David's grandma) but I consider her my own because I like her that much. With that said, I didn’t hesitate when hubby told/asked me to wake up, on my only day off that week, to be at her house by 6 A.M to Taxi her and my fabulous mom-in-law into Idaho Falls to catch a bus for their weekend-get away. It was worth it to get this hand delivered to me at work yesterday…

flower

see I told you she was sweet. It made my day and definitely helped my office smell like a dream. It’s really easy to love my in-laws when everyone knows David is the favorite in the fam, that's made my job pretty easy to be well liked! (ha, you know it’s true!)

I also got another surprise at work today…

apple

“an apple a day keeps the doctor away” that really happened… trust me I am still trying to figure that one out myself. Uh. “Thanks for the haircut, you look sickly, eat an apple?”

Friday/Saturday

kristeeFriday night David and I went to Kristee and Mike’s wedding reception (she is a co-worker and a friend of mine). It was such a pretty wedding and I loved her colors. I remember how much time and excitement was put into our wedding for one night and it was over, then ‘real’ life starts. Dave and I both agreed our wedding was a lot of fun but after going to a reception (this was the 1st we’ve been to since we got married… I think) we wouldn’t EVER want to do it over.

After the reception we went to Costa Vida (old Bajio) for dinner. Have you been there? It’s delicious, and our new hot spot. Thanks Val-pak for the bogo coupon Smile

Then it was home for an evening four wheeler ride, we love to go out at night and let the wind blow through our hair- and let bugs hit our face. David tried to dump me in a ditch full of water… it’s true. Mind you I was still in my “nice” clothes from the reception. Grr…

Saturday- we were up early to take David’s truck to get boom, boom speakers and be to the Jefferson County Stampede Parade before 10 A.M. all to watch this handsome brother of mine…

008

we also saw a few neat floats:

011012Huge grocery cart…

And I love Clydesdales…

017   I love this guy too!

Saturday we had a picnic down by the river and relaxed the afternoon so we could be back in Rigby for the rodeo that evening. I love Saturdays off with lots of exciting things to do with my hubby!

019

This was just before Jeral rode with the Jr posse at the rodeo!
