Playmill week-end!

We had so much fun at the Playmill in West Yellowstone for our anniversary we decided we had to go back for 1 last show before they ended for the summer. We went to Guys and Dolls Friday night and used my little brothers birthday as an excuse to go! So my parents came along and we had such a great time. I love my family so much!!

When you have a "special occasion" they sing to you. My little brother was loving it... as you can tell!
Looks like she put her bright red lipstick on for the event too :) So fun!

Jeral's crash...

All my little brother wanted for his birthday was a huge freestyle ramp to ride his motor bike on and fly into the air. He got it alright... after putting a little time and love into it he decided he was ready to hit it. Which was a bad bad idea- he way over shot the landing and wrecked. He was wearing a helmet but hit his head so hard on the handle bars his top teeth went through his bottom lip not only does he now have stiches on the inside of his mouth he has a huge fat lip, one front tooth half missing with roots exposed and the other front tooth cracked right down the center. This all happened about 6 but no way was he going to miss going camping so away they went! Crazy boys! Sorry this picture is a little graphic it was right after it happened.

Another rodeo night...

This was probably our last rodeo of the season and boy was it eventful.

Jeral rode a steer and we were all excited to see him do this for the first time.
When my dad and him were in the shoots waiting to come out Brooklyn said, "I thought Jeral was riding a deer." She was a little confused why there was a little cow back there instead of a huge deer- it was cute!!

The end result of Jeral's adventure... he only made it about 3 seconds and then the steer stepped on him and got stuck in his belt lope leaving his bum half hanging out :)

Then Brooklyn somehow got gum stuck in the top of her hair... she wasn't even chewing gum and either was her sister so who knows where it really came from but it was sticking to all the rest of her hair so my genius husband decided to cut it out with his pocket knife. I know only in Idaho...

1 year old...

We left around 11 Friday morning which put us in Ashton, Idaho at Frost Top just in time for lunch, that is a must do in my household when headed to Yellowstone. As we pulled in Dave looked over at me and said, "how does it feel to be a year old?" At first I looked at him like what in the world is he talking about then I realized what he meant- 'we' are a year old... weird I just kinda stared at him blankly and walked in the restaurant where we sat down and the waitress came up looked at me and said "you're cute" by this time I felt like I was on another planet and people were saying random things to me then she said "sorry it's just your necklace is cute." "Thanks" I replied. After this you'll be glad to know our week-end was normal- just got off to a weird start! Our lunch as usual was amazing but as I was pulling out I stalled my car and as David says "almost killed him" I'll have you know it wasn't even a close call and I haven't stalled my car in months- how embarrassing! Then not a mile up the road a huge ford truck was coming into my lane and in slow motion I said "is he coming into my lane?" Dave reached over honked the horn and flipped him off for seriously like 30 seconds it was the longest I have ever saw a bird fly :) so this was the second time in 5 minutes "we have almost died" he was being pretty dramatic. We made it safely to Yellowstone walked around, enjoyed the jacuzzi, ate dinner, done a little shopping and headed to the Footloose play at 8:30. It was such a good story and they do such a good job acting at the Playmill. We didn't get out of there until 11:00 but it was so worth it!

I made Dave take a picture with me in the pink hat :)

We even found a car show while waiting for our play to start this was my favorite one!

And they had these little "pouting dolls" everywhere I think they are so cute!

Dave w/ the chief

And me with cowboy Joe :)

Dave with the moose in our motel's lobby... picking its nose?

Me playing the piano like the piano playing fool I am!

I thought we may not get this picture at all Old Faithful was almost not faithful to us... we got to there about 12:30 and when we saw it was suppose to be going off about 1:19 (give or take 10 minutes) we thought we had it made just in time to get some lunch and head over there. After our $30 lunch in the cafeteria which I am not complaining because at least it was good we waited and waited... and waited finally at 1:40 I said if it doesn't go off in 5 minutes we are leaving... because I am impatient and the anticipation was killing me. Then it went off FINALLY! YAY!!We headed through Yellowstone Park into Teton Park and out to Jackson there was a lot off construction going on and luckily I had a good driver so I could take a little nap. It does no good to be impatient when trapped inside a car going 25-30 miles an hour and although I know that I don't know how not to tap my foot and stop breathing heavily. I woke up just in time to see the back side of the Teton's which was so pretty and go into Jackson. We had a lot of fun there we went to Ripley's believe it or not and we heard it wasn't very good but we had to find out for ourselves and we both really enjoyed it we ate at a Mexican restaurant right next door to Ripley's called Merry Piglet's or something... weird name but great food! Got some fudge, walked around and was home by 9:00. Just in time to unpack, go to bed and start real life again Monday morning!

Quick Update...

So tomorrow is the 8th of August which means... David and I have been married a year. We have discussed this with each other so I think it's fair I share it with you- it has been a hard freaking year yet one of the most rewarding and fun times we've ever had. In ways it feels like we were just married yesterday and in other ways it feels like a lifetime. We have definitely had our challenges this past year along with some great times so I guess we'll just havta see what the years to come have in store for us! For our anniversary we are going to stay the night up in West Yellowstone and go to dinner and a play (which I love so much and Dave has never been) then the next morning (Sunday) we are going to drive to Jackson and spend the day then just come home. Jackson is something we have wanted to do... well for a year now. It's what we wanted to do for our honeymoon but it's so expensive we decided just to make a day trip out of it. We are very excited to A. have the weekend off and B. spend it together.

In other news... after 3 years I took my artificial nails off... I feel naked! It's so strange but kinda nice to feel my fingertips and if you thought I was a fast 'texter' before you should see me now :)

I felt bad because for dinner on Thursday night I made hamburger helper so for dessert I made some gourmet strawberries dipped in Almond Bark! Yummy.

It's so hard to cook for just the two of us but so expensive to eat out so we are slowly but surely eating in more. Although tonight we went to Texas Roadhouse with Nic & Laurel (because she didn't feel like cooking either) and it was way good!!

Have a great week-end everyone!

Saturday Nights...

My little brothers posse districts was in Rigby on Saturday night! He did a great job and is getting so big it's a little scary! He will always be my 12 year old brother :) It's a joke at my house because when he was 9 I would tell people he was 12 and now he's almost 14 I still tell people he is 12!

Pretty sure I have the cutest nieces in this entire world look at their little poses!!

Our new truck...

David decided he "needed" a new truck this thought arose when I was gone to the concert and he obviously had way too much time to think of more ways to spend money. Who would have thought it is so easy- we just went to look and the salesman kept saying if you want to sign a few papers you can drive it home tonight. Me being the slight bit cautions person that I am decided we needed to go home lay out the bills, our income and decide if this was really feasible! The next day it really was as simple as signing your name half a dozen times and writing a check for a small down payment and ta-da here's the keys! No doubt this was a smoking hot steal we got on the '06 Chevy it just makes me so nervous to take on a huge bill like this. It is by thousands of dollars the most expensive thing I have ever purchased and although I know we have the money to make the payments its a huge investment!

I do have to say it's nice to be sitting by a hottie in a nice truck vs a little car
hands down!
David and his new baby!

Take me out to the ball game...

Nothing compares to a Friday night baseball game with the fam... nothing!!

Roz and I. She was actually trying to choke me here but the picture turned out cute!

David & B

The straight lines amaze me...

Mom and Dad. This was seriously like the 5th picture I took because they were being so goofy!

And last but not least... us!
Thanks for inviting us to the game fam. We love spending time with you, being outside in the nice summer nights, and most of all watching baseball!! Jeral was there- somewhere he is more interested in girls then the game and I couldn't track him down for a pictures. Darn!
