A few of the pictures B took while her perm processed. This girl loves the phone and the camera…
She was pretty excited when there was only 50 minutes left on the timer…

I permed… okay re-permed- this cute niece of mine’s hair today, again! She loves to take self portraits of herself and any random things in the room she feels like (maybe that will be my next post) I am DREADING these girls leaving I can’t even explain how much I love and miss them already. Knowing this will be one of the last times just the 2 of us will be alone for a while I opt to perm her hair after hours so we could turn the music up at the salon, dance, sing, and spend time without interruption. I loved every minute of it!
She HAD to be home by 5:00 to go fishing…On our way home this convo took place:
Me: So B are you ready to go back to Pennsylvania?
B: No, I want to stay here and spend more time with my family.
Me: I know I want that too, but you will be so happy to see your mom again.
B: Yeah, I miss my mom but I just want all my family to live together in Idaho again.
Me: {sigh} while driving I put on my glasses and shed a few tears thinking to myself me too B, me too.
A few minutes pass…
B: Aunt TIffy?
Me: yes Brooklyn?
B: You told me it was only 4:45 and we would be home by 5:00 to go fishing, but that clock says it’s 6:13…
oops, I forget they are getting smarter and I can’t fool them any longer.
time where my nieces have to go back to that state. That state I dislike oh so very much. That state that took my sweet nieces and awesome sister away from me… chew on this PennsylBania!
Nonetheless it was a great visit and I am so lucky they were able to come home and spend some much needed quality time with their favorite Auntie (oh, and the rest of the family) Here is a recap of some of our favorite things…
new hair do’s
painting nails/toes
I love his new album
I just saw one of his music videos
he is amazing in concert
he is in fact eye candy
However, I can not get over the fact he looks like my brother in law! Seriously, he stands like him, smirks like him, smiles like him, nods like him, holds his mouth like him. UGH! I just want to drool over Mr. Aldean but every freaking time I see a picture or hear his voice it makes me think of Daniel… and day dreaming over your bro in laws twin is just not cool.
please don’t consider me an extreme couponer… yet! I am getting pretty good at this however. I got all this food for a measly $14 at the local Fred Meyer (shout out to them for having good deals and great coupons)
orange soda X 4 for a total of 5 cases
gallon of milk
5 packages of Tillamock cheese
Chips, salsa, and tortillas.
Boo-yah! I feel good about it
it was fun… kinda.
I am deathly afraid of water, but not going to let it ruin a good day with family and fun in the sun- on a boat. I got daring enough to get on the tube, hopefully I will NEVER get that brave again. Although I admit it was a good time.
Dear Vacation,
Once again you were truly amazing to me. The best way to take a week off work is to have you paying me to do it. Isn’t there something so wrong with getting paid to travel, shop, play, and do whatever I darn well please? I tend to think so. I have a hard time leaving work at work and just enjoying myself but this time I feel like I nailed it! I slept in way too late, went to bed way too early, took way too many naps, made way too many cookies, ate out way too much, watched way too many movies, spent so much well needed time with Roz and B, and went 3 entire days without doing my hair or putting a dab of make-up on! I’d say this last week was a success!
Unfortunately, it’s back to work this afternoon… but in a way I am excited, mostly because I spend a lot of money being at home. Here’s to hoping I didn’t miss too much at work and I am not too far behind!
Much love,
Tiff
My mom had a birthday yesterday so she and I celebrated with one of her favorite places…
Carinos
And one of my favorite places…
orange leaf. My mom has NEVER been there… weird. But I think she’ll go often now, she agreed it was amazing!
If you know me, you know my mom has always been my very best friend. Even through those high school years when she said “no” and “I don’t have a good feeling about it” way too often. I always knew she had a motherly instinct that was in tune and probably usually right thankfully I didn’t push the limits too often. I honestly hope one day I am half the mother my mom was to me. She is amazing and I love her so much!
Do you remember Kristy Lee Cook from American Idol?
Yeah, me either but I do truly love this song and may or may not shed a tear each and every time it comes on.
yes, these cute girls! And seriously how big are they? They’ve grown so much in the past 6 months. I was able to take a week off work so play with them and I’m so glad I did. It started with a birthday party for our cousin Darion on Thursday night at Green Canyon
Friday it was off to Provo Utah to have some fun for the weekend at Trafalga and Seven Peaks
Roz drove down with us and B rode with Papa, Jeral, and Kacie.
Saturday it was up early and to the water park
we even got the whole park to ourselves after close to run and play without worrying about waiting in lines. What a great weekend! And a great ending to it all…
I miss these girls like crazy. Please move back to Idaho, sis! Please, please… at least give it a second thought!
