I got this in a text message...

from my older sister Melanie

and all it said was um... yeah :)

That is so my sister if you don't know her. I was just getting off work sitting in my car and opened this picture and teared up. Seriously, Mel was never suppose to get married... not that she doesn't deserve to be happy and off the market but she's MY sister- MINE and I don't want to share her! Wow that's kinda mean of me, ha I wonder how she felt when her little sister (me) got married? As you can tell I am thrilled for the upcoming event... wonder when it might be? This is sounding like a chance for a vk... woo hoo!!

This guy...

got to ride four-wheelers

and

go bow fishing all weekend...

(which is well deserved because he rarely gets to play on the weekends)

while this girl had to work all weekend...

I hope this isn't the start on how our entire summer will be.

4 eyes...

is what I called this guy when he came home in his much needed glasses. It was a joke... I didn't even make fun of kids with glasses in elementary (or did I?) I think he looks quite handsome in them to be honest and now he doesn't have an excuse for speeding (before he couldn't see the speed limit sign, that may or may not be true) or when we're watching TV I won't have to read him any captions... this my friends is exciting news!!

And have I mentioned lately how much I miss Roz and B (and maybe my sister just a little, shh...) They are coming to spend a month in Idaho this summer... yay to water slides, parks, picnics, camping, 4th of July, yogurt, Leo's place, and all the little things that just isn't the same without them. I also look forward to sleep overs... on the tramp perhaps having late night laughs and cookies/soda/cotton candy as we chat under the stars with my 4 favorite sleep over buddies (until Miss Maeleigh is old enough to join us)

p.s. I can't wait to get my hands on their long hair... ekk!!

Hairshow...

I got to attend my 2nd hairshow of all time, this one in Sandy, Ut.

I went with these fun girls...

(ali, Les, Lacie, and me)

Welcome to the hairshow...

at times I felt like we were at a tattoo convention... I discovered hair stylists have extreme styles and lots of tattoo/percings

Meet Ben...

he is a Joico stylist... you may recognize him from the first season of Shear Genius, he was the runner up. This was definitely the highlight of my trip he is amazing and oh so talented...

This is a random Peerless distibutor... I once knew his name but since forgot. I imagine my boss to look like this 20 years ago hence the photo op...

Joico also threw an after party it was intense... these girls know how to party :)

* I had someone high five me simply because I was from Idaho... this one must go down in the history books*

I love...

my feather:

(but hate my nose!)

And I also love:

Our 2 minute and 41 second convo ended in me not having to call my husband for the second time this week to rescue me because I locked my keys in the car... I am however afraid that this may result in me paying an outrageous monthly fee after my free subscription runs out to continue their amazing service. You, On Star definitely saved me from going crazy and my husband's blood pressure from sky rocketing... you rock!

Easter Sunday...

David and I woke up early (by early I mean after 7:30 and before 9:00) and got house work done, I love when he's home to help me and obviously that doesn't happen often because of our different work schedules, we then decided to take advantage of the nice weather and:
-went shooting targets, he got a new gun (A-15? maybe does that mean anything to you? Yeah, me either) I love to shoot his not so big and manly guns and he's a good shot... but so am I if I dare say so myself.
-we then had a picnic... in the living room with the windows and doors open because the wind started to pick up.
-I had a nap, David tinkered around outside
-we washed our vehicles
-finished laundry
-finally it was time for dinner at Gram's, she makes some bomb food and I always love when we are invited over there. We got more snuggle time in with our new niece Maeleigh and got to bring Elise and Gaby home for a sleep-over. (I'm all Wii'ed out)
I love my in-laws (yes all of you) and am so glad David and I can spend time with them as a family since I am still unsure of my own families priorities. You'd think after a year I would be getting used to this no mom/dad awkward holiday situation but I'm not... maybe after another year... or five :)

and no I have no pictures to prove that any of the above actually did happen.

p.s. I feel slightly guilty I didn't go to church on Easter Sunday with my dad... my intentions were good but dad wanted me to "sleep in" and it apparently took priority this year. No, I don't go to church weekly, as one client told me I am a C & E Mormon (Christmas and Easter) ha I think I'll grasp that concept better twice a year than none at all, right? Right!

Maeleigh Dawn Jones...

Our newest niece was born April 16th weighing in at 9 lbs 1 ounce. What a little chunk she is and so snugly! The last 2 weeks before her arrival was killing me, I love babies and couldn't wait to steal a few too many kisses from this doll!! David got to hold her first, he totally called it as we were walking into the hospital. He couldn't get enough of her...
and naturally either could I!! Of course we had to have the "baby talk" all the way home- he thinks it's time... I am still considering his valid reasoning and wishing he would re-think my pros and cons :) He is convinced he needs a little one of his own because he's "not getting any younger, and approaching 30" (which is not for another few years btw) Either way we are so excited for the newest arrival to our family and can't wait to watch her grow up and join in on our girls nights...

such as this one...

I love these girls to death, and for some reason they love hanging out with me. It might be because we make cookies, drink soda, and eat candy until mid night... or so. But I'll bribe them as long as I must as long as they continue coming over for sleepovers :)
