Birthday week...

The pictures you are about to see is how David and I celebrated our birthday week, although truly we celebrate all month long!

I really wanted to go to the Bodies Exhibition at the Museum and it didn't disappoint, the human body is completely amazing if you haven't been... go!

My dinner of choice was without second thought Red Robin. #1 because it's amazing and #2 because we still had a Christmas gift card (what's better than free dinner?) Much to my surprise there was "problems in the kitchen" that took dinner a little longer than expected which made the manager comp our meal and we paid $5.79 for our delish appetizer. Needless to say I still have a $25 gift card to Red Robin :)

p.s. we forgive you for the delay and will be back soon

I had just enough room for a little Wedding Cake yogurt from Orange Leaf topped with cookie dough bites and marshmallow cream. I told you my husband loves me!

Our annual weekend birthday get away to Jackson was hubs present... and new nerf bars for his truck and a new hat at the climbs :) and... the rest of my pictures are having issues loading. Awesome. Just know we had an amazing birthday. Dinner at Piggly Wiggly's, 3 Pigs or Merry Pigglets (that's the real name) but we can never remember it from year to year, a great Saturday at the Hill, hours relaxing and chatting in the hot tub, continential breakfast (I really love 'free' breakfast), a stop to my favorite candy store buying fudge, suckers, and all the goodies, met up with some old friends... even met a few new ones. And was home Sunday around noon to get laundry done, bags unpacked, and a little nap all to be back to work first thing Monday morning.

side note: I may or may not be back later with more weekend pictures... I have some worth posting, but as for now it's getting late and I'm getting frustrated with my computer...

night.

Happy St. Patricks Day!!

Are these girls not adorable? I miss them so much! This picture was sent to me at 6:00 a.m. this morning (time difference complaint) but it was a great way to start the day :)

Meet Cooper...

It had only been a short week since Roxie went to heaven (all dogs to go heaven right?) When David was on the search for a new pal. It wasn't a fish like I secretly hoped but when he saw Cooper the pressure was on. I came back with things like: I don't want to just replace Roxie this quick, and no dog will be as good as Rox!

When David and I got married he told me there is one thing he will always have and that's a dog (or two). Yesterday I reminded him marriage is full of compromises in which he came back with "I compromise a lot (this is true) but a dog will not be one of them."

we are proud new owners of a 2 year old Blue Tick Hound...

(you obviously saw who won the argument!)

good news... bad news...

or is it bad news... good news. I like to start with bad news first so that way it ends in a happier way. David called me at work a week ago today (Monday) I was busy and someone took a message telling me to call him back... this is unusual he hardly ever calls me at work and the last time he did it was to tell me his dad was in an accident. I played over ideas that I thought might be reason for the call in my head but when I called him back I didn't expect this, "something is wrong with Roxie." I knew right away it wasn't a belly ache or he wouldn't have bothered calling me. I could tell in his voice it was terribly bad... we had to put her down :(
Needless to say we were a big ball of snot for a few days, she was definitely our baby! She slept with us at night, cuddled with us in the morning and the last few weeks started to sigh when we would ask her to do something she didn't feel necessary. She hated Lysol and would sneeze (sometimes I think even faking it) when we would spray it with her in the room. I would always tease David that she wasn't a cat because he would pick all 50 lbs of her up and carry her around or sit on his lap. David would call her "rot-see" and she would look at him annoyed like that's not my name. I was so upset when David brought her home, I am not an animal lover but I grew to love her. David said our next animal will be a gold fish ha ha! We sure miss our pound puppy :(

On a better note... we won the lottery and both bought new vehicles! Kidding on the lottery part but we did get new vehicles. These are both bigger and more comfortable for all our exciting plans to come, meaning we won't have to trade them in for at least 5 more years! Davids boss pointed out we both had silver cars, my nitro and his truck was black and these are both dark metallic blue... this was not planned... weird!

I am...

... tired- I realized on the 28th of February it was the 3rd day off of work I had all month.

Am I complaining? No, I am SO lucky to work with amazing stylists who help make the days lots better. When the paycheck comes I am almost grateful I work as much as I do.

But am I overly worked? Probably.

Does my wrist ache and hurt at night... and during the day? Yes.

Do I eat out way to much because it's easier than coming home and cooking? Yes.

Does my husband get tired of me not being able to leave 'work' at work? More than likely.

Should I be making my meeting agenda for this months meeting instead of blogging? Yes.

Back to am I complaining? maybe bit :)

Is it anyone fault but my own and would I change it if I could? No and possibly!

I am so ready for our weekend get away the end of this month up to beautiful Jackson Wyoming for the World Champion Hill climbs... I live for this weekend in March!

If I could have anything right now it would be:

AND

Just my hungry stomach talking... unfortunately I am off to work!

I'm sick...

...with a serious case of Bieber Fever! Ha, and apparently I am comfortable enough with it to share it with all 3 of you who still read my blog :)

Having an 11 year old niece I knew I could keep my feelings on the down low by insisting on taking Gaby to the Never Say Never movie with Mr. Bieber himself. So I ask her if she is DYING to see it (because in my heart I am positive she is) and she replies..."no, I hate him." OMGosh... so if there is any other takers who wants to have a girls night and share popcorn with me at the 3D event I am totally up for it.

P.S. There are a few things I make my husband do and this is not one of them :)

-my sis-in-law just informed me I have a 6 year old niece that might be up for the challange... yay!

Valentines Day...

I wish I had a big eventful day planned out for Valentines this year... but I don't. I also didn't care I had nothing planned until this morning when I woke up and realized I act like we've been married for 50 years or my husband is a horrible man who doesn't deserve to celebrate a lovers day- which neither is true! My hubby does deserve something, so maybe I will bring him home a milkshake when I get off work at 9 tonight... that's special, right? :)

A few things off the top of my head that makes David perfect for me...
(in no particular order)
-he always wants me to have the nicest things
-he is loving, and caring, and most importantly sincere
-he helps clean the house and does anything I write on the "honey to-do list"
-he is a fix it man and can re-wire, start, change, put back together, take apart, and make anything work properly.
-he tells me everyday I am beautiful and he loves me :)
-he lets me cry on him, around him, or by him and NEVER tries to talk to me until I get it all out
-he gives bomb massages... and foot rubs
-he works so hard for us
-he opens car/truck/restaurant doors ALWAYS
-he is responsible
-he even says sweet things to me in his sleep
-he is a big cuddly teddy bear
-he covers my head with a pillow so the light doesn't wake me up if he's awake and I am still sleeping
-he takes care of all the things I don't know how to and don't care to learn (ie insurance, oil changes, anything to do with a vehicle mostly)
-he lets me come home and put my feet up or nap without interruption
-he never expects dinner, laundry, clean house (although I try to do those things)
-he is a tough guy and makes me feel safe
-he is very protective
-he is a hottie :)
Okay, okay that's enough as you all now know my husband is the man and in fact a very important one at that. Next year I vow to do something special...
I love you David Scott! Thank you for being you :)

I also love that he loves me even if I am not loving myself at the moment... and he isn't going bald!
