I'm sick...

...with a serious case of Bieber Fever! Ha, and apparently I am comfortable enough with it to share it with all 3 of you who still read my blog :)

Having an 11 year old niece I knew I could keep my feelings on the down low by insisting on taking Gaby to the Never Say Never movie with Mr. Bieber himself. So I ask her if she is DYING to see it (because in my heart I am positive she is) and she replies..."no, I hate him." OMGosh... so if there is any other takers who wants to have a girls night and share popcorn with me at the 3D event I am totally up for it.

P.S. There are a few things I make my husband do and this is not one of them :)

-my sis-in-law just informed me I have a 6 year old niece that might be up for the challange... yay!

Valentines Day...

I wish I had a big eventful day planned out for Valentines this year... but I don't. I also didn't care I had nothing planned until this morning when I woke up and realized I act like we've been married for 50 years or my husband is a horrible man who doesn't deserve to celebrate a lovers day- which neither is true! My hubby does deserve something, so maybe I will bring him home a milkshake when I get off work at 9 tonight... that's special, right? :)

A few things off the top of my head that makes David perfect for me...
(in no particular order)
-he always wants me to have the nicest things
-he is loving, and caring, and most importantly sincere
-he helps clean the house and does anything I write on the "honey to-do list"
-he is a fix it man and can re-wire, start, change, put back together, take apart, and make anything work properly.
-he tells me everyday I am beautiful and he loves me :)
-he lets me cry on him, around him, or by him and NEVER tries to talk to me until I get it all out
-he gives bomb massages... and foot rubs
-he works so hard for us
-he opens car/truck/restaurant doors ALWAYS
-he is responsible
-he even says sweet things to me in his sleep
-he is a big cuddly teddy bear
-he covers my head with a pillow so the light doesn't wake me up if he's awake and I am still sleeping
-he takes care of all the things I don't know how to and don't care to learn (ie insurance, oil changes, anything to do with a vehicle mostly)
-he lets me come home and put my feet up or nap without interruption
-he never expects dinner, laundry, clean house (although I try to do those things)
-he is a tough guy and makes me feel safe
-he is very protective
-he is a hottie :)
Okay, okay that's enough as you all now know my husband is the man and in fact a very important one at that. Next year I vow to do something special...
I love you David Scott! Thank you for being you :)

I also love that he loves me even if I am not loving myself at the moment... and he isn't going bald!

No Title :)

Wow... I am not even feeling creative enough to title my blog today, that's awesome! Ha, anyway- I got a teddy bear from my hubby (before we were married) for Valentine's Day that I absolutely love! I slept with it every night from Valentine's until we got married because I reeaaallyy missed him at night (pathetic I know!) Now there is not room for even that tiny bear in our bed so it has a special spot on the back of our head board and almost every morning without fail when David and I are getting ready our dog Roxie will pull "teddy" down from her special spot and snuggle with it before we let her go out and play for the day. Neither one of us has actually caught her in action but this is what she looks like nearly every morning...
Superbowl next week? It came so fast... How can I even choose who to go for now? I love and miss these girls so much!

P.S. as I was picking out their Valentines Day cards today, I literally stood in the card section at Fred Meyer, with my sun glasses on, hoping no one was watching me cry! I don't want to be sending them cards I want them at my house making and decorating cupcakes or cookies... damn it! Op... I feel better :)

V.K...

This was a well needed vacation... but aren't they all? I had 5 days of vacation time left and before I realized it I was in a "take it or loose it" by the end of January predicament. So what else was a girl suppose to do but take some time off? I thought about taking the hubs on a fun and even considered a slightly romantic week-end getaway but the reality and priority settled in and I remembered the annoying voice in the back of my head reminding me I realllly want to get some debt paid off/down. With gift cards from Christmas and a small amount of cash saved up we decided to have a weekend together at home.

Friday's itinerary:
-got my hair colored (darker... and am lovin it!)
-grocery shopping
-took myself to lunch
-took an hour long nap before David got off work :)
-went and saw the movie Fighter and ate way too much buttery popcorn

Saturday was a fairly relaxing day. We spent a little time in town shopping, and a suprise treat to Orange Leaf (bomb yogurt, go there...), poor David needed a haircut so bad although he didn't think it was too bad I have a slight obsession with his hair looking perfect... it's my job, I really didn't want to go into work and cut it, he refused to go to the competitors (yes, I was actually going to pay some girl to run her fingers through my husbands hair as he watched football, ridic I know) luckily we were in the right place at the right time and my friend had an opening to cut his hair and he IS the sharpest looking man in town with no thanks to me. Then it was home to organize and take yet another nap... I love naps! That night we went to dinner with some friends and back to their house to Wii the night away.

Sunday we slept in! I love sleeping in as much as I love naps and it rarely happens on the weekends because I usually work and leave Dave too early in the A.M. when he's still fast asleep! We went to Carino's and to the movie Dilemma then came home... no nap required yet. Hung out together watching football and before I know it 6:30 came and I was just waking up, awesome! We had dinner, cleaned our room, re arranged our living room, put up Valentine's decor and while organizing our DVDs I found our wedding disc- I don't think we've watched it since maybe a week after our big day! What a great way to put our busy lives back into perspective of what really matters, the one thing I remember sticking out is when the bishop was talking to us and said, "it's not just about you anymore." And something about the fact that every decision we make and choice we choose it will effect the other. Such simple words but definitely reality. That mid afternoon nap put a cramp on going to bed early so we both had a hard time sleeping but luckily David was the only one back to work today!

I am sitting here blogging after of course the blog stalking and facebooking is done, made some cookies this morning, had lunch with my dad, finished all the laundry and cleaning, gave myself a mini pedicure, did a small amount of exercising and looking forward to my daily shower. Just as a side note I wish I got paid to have days off like this more often.

It was such a great weekend with my hottie of a husband and I am so glad we got to spend some good quality time together... it was much needed and should happen more often. Pooey to working weekends but the bills aren't going to pay themselves :)

Girls night...

Occasionally I get brave and decide I want to have the nieces over for a sleep over. Before Rozilyn and Brooklyn moved it was a huge chore... with just Elise and Gaby it's much more simple and laid back. They are such good kids and I absolutely love them!
We:
Played Wii Super Mario and Just Dance 2 which was pretty awesome yet I am so glad we didn't get any pictures in the act ha ha

Watched Elise hit my brothers punching bag until her knuckles were red and hurting...

then she switched to kicking it. This got a lot of energy out of her...

We also made cookies, played board games, played with some of their new Christmas toys and watched Twilight until they couldn't keep their eyes open any longer. They even woke up and played together and didn't wake me up until 9:00!!

Christmas time...

Better late than never! We were very busy during the month of December getting all the final touches on Christmas and then bam before you know it Christmas is over, New Years has passed and tomorrow it's back to work!! This was a VERY different Christmas for us but nonetheless we made the best out of it. It was sad not having my sister and our twin nieces home for the holidays but it was still go, go, go. Santa didn't come to our house until after 9:00 A.M. just as I hoped. Roxie wasn't too excited about her bone and new collar, she decided a nap would be better...

This was after the presents David was already "partied" and "camera-ed" out. I got a new, amazingly fast and fun camera and I had taken a few pictures with my old camera so that was my only 2 good pictures and its on my other memory card... oh well!

Christmas Day David and I went to his Grandma's for lunch with the fam and then to his parents to exchange gifts, unfortunately I was still trying to figure out my new camera so I didn't get many pictures this year... good news is I figured it out (for the most part) and now am ready to roll. Did I mention how extremely lucky I am to have such nice in-laws that I adore and feel so lucky to have since I claim my own family as slightly dis functional this year? (no offense to all my family members... but really you know it's true) Then it was back to my Dad's for a small but yummy Christmas dinner.

At last- our day was over! We ended it with Hot Chocolate and watching Despicable Me... perfect ending to a great day!

I dislike...

Very, very much!
For taking...

&

and of course my sister away from us. How dare they move over 1500 miles away!!

(and here they are pulling out of the drive way on their long trip to PA)

I don't care that Pennsylvania's bird is the ruffed grouse, their flower is the mountain laurel, or their tree is the hemlock all I know is my adorable nieces will be living in their state and Idaho (aka Tiffany and David) wants them back!!
